EABRN has conducted sixteen network meetings since 1994. These meetings have been conducted as workshops and provided positive opportunities for experts and BR managers to exchange individual experiences in biological diversity conservation, particularly the implementation of the Seville Strategy, the Statutory Framework for Biosphere Reserves, and the Lima Action Plan. At these meetings, the results of cooperative scientific studies - such as on tourism management - are also presented to members. The 17th EABRN Meeting and the 8th EABRN Training were originally planned to be held in September 2024 but had to be postponed because the local organizers encountered difficulties in receiving the local administrative approvals.
Therefore, the donor requests to organise a 3-day EABRN Steering Committee Meeting to further discuss preparations for the postponed EABRN training and meeting and the tentative activities for the next phase of the EABRN Project and to support EABRN members to participate in the Symposium for Future Generation at the UNESCO Multi-designated site in Yeoncheon as a part of the EABRN Steering Committee Meeting organisation.
